The cases are made in a small studio in Portugal and the leather comes from Tuscany, Italy.

The leather is vegetable tanned, an ancient method that is both environmentally friendly and gives the leather a characteristic feel and unique properties.

The leather is stiff at first and thick scissors with large screws are at first lumpy to get down, but it's as it should be, the leather will eventually form around your tools like a glove. A good tip is that if your scissors have a large screw, then turn the screw inwards so it does not hook into the edge when you insert it.

Your case will look better the more you use it, but after a year or so it can be good to lubricate it with leather conditioner.
