How it all started
Madelene was working as a hairdresser and was just starting to rent a chair at a saloon, Mattias had just jumped of the surfboard and was working with his new clothing brand.
Madelene is from the northen part of Sweden and more or less grew up on a saloon, her mother had one, so she got the profession in the blood. After moving to Stockholm, she first worked at different saloons, then rented a chair and from there started her own first saloon.
Mattias where traveling around the world, surfing and snowboarding, moved home to Sweden and started his own clothing brand, inspired by boardsports but with an environmentally friendly production and focus on quality.
Today
They got two kids, a dog named Benny and lives outside Stockholm. Madelene runs her saloon at kungsholmen in Stockholm, Mattias sold his clothing brand and are now a design consultant, but left the streetwear – fashion industry and working with functional outdoor wear with a clear sustainable approach.
In her daily work, Madelene lacked a good scissor case, both to organize the work tools but also to transport them safely. Something practical and stylish that both facilitated the work and enhanced the impression of the salon.
Mattias has many contacts in Portugal and knows most about design, materials and construction.
Together
They decided to start making scissor cases that are stylish, practical and last a lifetime (at least).
The result is a toolbox for hairdressers and stylists that looks good, help you to organise your tools and are made in an environmentally friendly way. So no more give away polyester covers, the BON-BAG will last forever and age with style.
